Mission Statement: Participants study a book (or books) of the Bible in great detail for about three months. We plant seeds by teaching scripture to our children.
Ministry Leader: Jon Suttles
Elder: Bob Weatherly
Who we serve: Anyone in kindergarten through 12th grade
What you do: We meet every Sunday night from late May through early September for a little over an hour. We also spend time during the week planning for our practices. Then, we take the participants to Cookeville, TN on a Saturday in September for the Bible Bowl event.
Ways you can serve:
- “Extra hands” during practices to help with various needs that arise.
- Reading and asking questions, particularly with our youngest children.
- Helping prepare study materials.
- Helping with childcare for the younger siblings of the participants
Time commitment: Aside from practices themselves, we may spend up to an hour a week planning and organizing practices. Participants study at their discretion. Participants who have studied about 15 minutes per day throughout the summer have been very successful.
